Upgrade Paths

A lack of imagination is the only limit!

Sherpa will consult with its installed base of users, institutions and prospects for ideas as we look for ideas in our Version 2.0 of the RevU application. As the power of smartphones and available affordable bandwidth continue to increase, the functionality that we can build in to the application increases.

Some of the features* that we are currently discussing are:

1. Real-time interactive Campus Maps – great for frosh, we would incorporate the GPS and Compass functionality of the smartphones to help people find their way around campus.
2. Streaming video – working with video capture, we may offer the ability to stream sporting events or important guest speakers.
3. Viewbooks/Course Calendars – create mobile friendly, interactive viewbooks that can be accessed through the application.
4. GPS Unlock Offers – create special offers that can only be unlocked when the person with the smartphone is in a physical location where the GPS location of the smartphone and the physical location match.

*All/none or some of these features may be added based on demand and willingness by the institutions to purchase the new version(s) of the application.
